Terms and Conditions

"Addin/Protecht" – The operator and provider of the artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis service integrated into Microsoft Word, managed through www.addin.ro. "User/Client" – The natural or legal person who accesses, creates an account, and uses Addin services based on a subscription or trial period. "Services" – The AI analysis and assistance provided through the Protecht add-in for Word, including contractual risk identification, automatic summarization, in-document AI chat, reports, etc. "Account" – The user profile created on the Site to access Addin services. "Subscription" – The payment agreement between the User and Addin for continuous access to the services offered, on a monthly/annual basis, according to the rates displayed on the Site.

Addin services are offered on a paid subscription model and/or free for a trial period (e.g., 14 days), according to the plans displayed in the "Pricing" section of the Site. Prices and plans may be changed by Addin at any time without prior notice, but changes will be publicly displayed on the Site. Addin commits to providing access to its services as described on the Site, but does not guarantee that services will be completely uninterrupted, error-free, or that they will meet the individual needs of every user.

To use premium services, the User must create an Account by providing accurate information (e.g., name, email address, billing details). The User guarantees that they have the legal capacity to enter into contracts and to bear the financial obligations arising from the subscription purchase. Account information (including password) is confidential, and the User is responsible for all activities that occur under their account. Addin reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if unauthorized use or violations of these Terms are detected. Regarding account security, you are responsible for all activities that occur in your account, including unauthorized ones. We recommend that you keep your account credentials confidential. If you use a device that other people have access to, you must log out of your account after each session. If you notice unauthorized access to your account, you must change your password. Any attempt to access another user's personal data, to modify the content of the website www.addin.ro, or to affect server performance will be considered a fraud attempt and will result in criminal investigation against the user(s) who attempted such action. You may only upload content that you have the right to upload and distribute. Except as authorized by law or as we permit: resizing, reproducing, redistributing, creating derivative works from, decompiling, reverse engineering, modifying, archiving, or disassembling any part of our services; or attempting to circumvent any of our security measures, rate limiting, filtering, or digital rights management measures; you are prohibited from: sending any malicious program, script, or code; sending an unreasonable number of requests to our servers; or taking other actions to manipulate, interfere with, or damage our Services.

Addin services use artificial intelligence to analyze contractual documents and highlight clauses, risks, or inconsistencies directly in the Word document. The analysis results are automated and do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. The User is responsible for interpreting and using the results provided. Addin does not guarantee: • Identification of all risks or relevant clauses in a document. • The accuracy, completeness, or applicability of results in all legal situations. • The validity of results in all jurisdictions.

Services are charged according to the plans displayed on the Site at the time of purchase (e.g., monthly/annual plans with fixed prices/per user). Prices are indicated in euros (€) and may or may not include local taxes according to applicable legislation. Payment is made online through the payment processors displayed on the Site (e.g., credit/debit card). If payment is made by card, the User guarantees that they have the legal right to use that card. Addin may offer free trial periods; after the trial period expires, the User will be billed according to the chosen plan if they do not cancel before expiration. Subscriptions renew automatically at the established term if the User does not request cancellation before the renewal date, in which case it is automatically cancelled at the established term. No refunds are accepted for periods already paid, partial subscription periods, or unused periods.

The content of the Site, including logos, texts, icons, code, interfaces, system-generated reports, and all related elements are protected by copyright law and other intellectual property rights. No element may be copied, redistributed, or used without the written consent of Addin.

The collection, storage, and processing of personal data are described in the Privacy Policy published on the Site, which forms an integral part of these Terms. The User gives their consent for data processing in accordance with that policy.

To the extent permitted by law, Addin shall not be liable for: • Direct or indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data, litigation costs, or other damages resulting from the use or inability to use the services. • Decisions made by the User based solely on the results provided by our services.

Addin reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and any other policies at any time without prior notice. Changes will be publicly displayed on the Site; continued use of the services after modification constitutes the User's acceptance.

The rights and obligations of Site Users as set forth in these Terms and Conditions, as well as all legal effects produced by these Terms and Conditions, shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the Romanian law in force. Any dispute arising from (or in connection with) these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved amicably. If this is not possible, the courts at the headquarters of addin.ro, part of Protecht Web S.R.L. group, shall have jurisdiction.
